Our Mission
BanterBox Education was built on a simple observation: the most important texts in history, science, and civics are often the hardest for students to access. Primary source documents, landmark court decisions, foundational scientific papers, and classic literature were not written for a classroom audience. But they are essential to deep learning.
We use AI to bridge this gap — without doing the reading for students. BanterBox turns complex documents into interactive experiences where a guide, built into the text, walks each student through the source at their own pace and reading level. The original source is always preserved; the scaffolding adapts to meet every learner where they are.
What We Do
BanterBox Education takes complex texts and makes them conversational. Instead of reading a document passively, students hold a guided dialogue with the source itself — a guide built into the text that:
Answers questions grounded in the document, citing the exact passage. Asks Socratic questions back, so students do the thinking instead of offloading it. Highlights and defines key vocabulary in context. Adapts its language to each student’s grade level. Supports multiple languages so every student can participate.
Educators choose the texts, set the level, and see exactly how every student is doing. The same source material reaches the whole class, and each student gets the support they need to understand it.

Rather than bolting a general chatbot onto a PDF, we structure each document so the AI is built into the text — grounded in the source, citing its passages, and unable to wander off into the made-up answers open chatbots are prone to.
